Here's the story:

The boat has been in my driveway for over two years. Last spring I gave up on the idea of selling it as a boat; sold the mast and rudder and other stuff. Now it's just a hull.

Three weeks ago I got serious about parting it out and making it go away. I got about 2 days of work into it (mostly salvage, a little cutting up) before I realized how much work it would be to cut it up. Started thinking about having someone haul it away...

Then my mother died last week.

Aside from the emotional devastation (very unexpected!) any plans for getting rid of this boat now cannot require any of my time. I am busy until snow falls and beyond.

Come over and take any pieces you want. Except for the Honda (nice try) and the bracket, it all has to go and nothing else matters.

Bow pulpit, stern pushpit, 3 stanchions (one already gone)...

All cushions (original brown plaid, decent shape) are sitting under a tarp, hurry!

Winches x3 (2 still mounted) cleats, windows (glued in place?)

Every piece of wood has been pulled out!

You can actually have the kitchen sink!

Anchor locker and foredeck hatches (companionway slider is cracked).

Fresh water and black water tanks.

email and phone to follow. I'll try to check in here from time to time.

Obviously, you have to get to Derry, NH to take advantage of this offer. I will work to ensure I have the item before you drive out.

Ken

Ken, so sorry to hear about your mom, Rita & I send our condolences.

Worry about disposing of the boat later when you're back on your feet after your loss.

Ken, Sorry for your loss.

If you still have and are looking to sell the anchor locker hatch and hardware, please let me know. No hurry as we are at the end of the season here in Ohio.

Regards,

Todd

So sorry for your loss Ken,

My own Mother is 82 and I am dreading that phone call. I wish you and your family all the best. I read that you already sold the mast but you didn't mention if the boom went with it. If you still have it, I would be interested in buying it. Can't imagine what the shipping would cost but oh well. And like the others, no hurry,no rush. Take care of your self and your family first.

Short update:

My step father died 13 days after my mom.

The stuff I had piled up under the tarp got infiltrated by chipmunks, so I'm using the tarp for something that can be saved.

The entire thing will sit under snow until spring.

What a disaster!

I'm trying to stay positive.

Luckily the outlook for Washington, DC (and the world) is nothing but blue skies and sunshine.

This is likely my last post here. I'm on Sailnet under the same ID. I'll see many of you over there.

Fair winds and following seas... and HEY!

Let's be careful out there.
