I'm not sure I'd want to be out in 40mph gusts! I can pretty easily hit hull speed with just my 110 jib up (no main) in about 10 knots, but if Rita's with me, she's white knuckling the winches or tiller and worried about the heeling.

The boat wasn't on it's ear when the photo was taken. We can see the mainsail is reefed, and can guess that much of the jib was rolled up. The boat appears to be well under control. Kudos to the crew who took the picture from the bow!
