The wind got the better of it while "sailing", downwind with an umbrella equipped dinghy... had lots of fun and made waves while it lasted... felt like being a kid again

No wonder your "winter blues", photo provides indeed a very welcome invitation to step aboard. Your winter tarp looks attractive, effective and well designed. Is the "finger", shown in your photo suspended above the water or is that just an illusion?

We often relive, not only the sailing but with great pleasure also the "boat fun projects", and comfort they have provided during our many sailing adventures.

Henk...Did you sew your boom tent? It appears to have a stiffening rod along the outboard side??? If so what did you use? Thanks.

One other note. Grizzly print.....impressive. Hopefully moving away from you.

No... it is just a standard, off the shelf, 6'x 8'(1.83 x 2.44 meter) tarp. Actually it would be nice if it was just a little wider but on the other hand it provides room to go forward. For a long time we've been planning to make a better boom tent but did not get around to it yet. Any ideas?
