I have been looking at a Catalina 25 1988. It has a wing keel and I did inspect the bolts holding the keel, they are stainless steel. There were some stress cracks around the bolts. Owner told me they were like that when he bought the boat used in 94 and

Hate to sound like a broken record, but your best bet is to find a reputable surveyer to help you inspect any prospective purchase. Baring that, the next best thing would be an experienced Cat 25 owner--someone that owns a similarly configured boat. Bes

Mike's right. It's the best 3 boat units you'll spend on her. Besides giving you a more comfortable feeling about buying the boat, you'll get some some good suggestions for work to be done and the urgency for doing it--and there's always something! <img
