HELP, We just took the winter cover off Free Spirit, a 78 SR, SK. In a couple of places on the sides of the hull there are clusters of tiny pin size blisters. The tarp may have been touching the side of the hull at the specific locations but also at other locations that dont have any problem. These blisters are not on the bottom but the sides of the hull. We worked for a couple of hours touching up the bottom paint and doing some minor work on the motor. When we left the yard the blisters were still there. We are going back to the yard next weekend. We are planning on cleanig and polishing the hull and deck to get ready for launching. We just orderd a PoliGlow kit. Any help or suggestions?????

I'd take a hard look at the blisters... the might turn out to be insect eggs which I've found on my hull many times.

I had a similar problem when I went to wax Buzz this week. Where ever water drained off the tarp there were thousands of tiny blisters. It seems that they are just under the wax and came off with a 3M pad and some elbow grease. I put a pretty heavy layer or two of wax on last summer and wonder if that isn't part of the problem.

Snowfish has the same blisters. On the side of the hull were the tarp was touching. I’ve “popped some of them and there is a dark blue color just under them. I just waxed over them last year and they have remained the same.
