Somewhere in the back of my head is something about the need to do a "primer" of something on the keel hanger bolts prior to the locktite liquid. Anybody remember?

When I got replacement keel bolts from Catalina Direct, they included a small tube of goop (I can't remember what it's called) in addition to the locktite. I've heard two reasons for the goop, but I don't know which one is correct ... 1) you need the goop because locktite doesn't work on stainless steel, or 2) you need the goop because locktite doesn't work under water. Whatever the reason, you're right ... you need the goop.
'Sorry I can't remember what that stuff is called ... I suppose you could call Catalina Direct to find out (800-959-7245).
