Got to go to the Oakland CA sail boat show this past weekend. Got to tour Thursday's Child, gawk at Stars and Stripes, stare in disbelief at an 84' Swan with a garage in the stern and tour some smaller boats. Among the latter was a Hunter 24, a MacGregor 26, and a Catalina 250. My wife and I were both well impressed with the fit and finish of the Catalina. The quality of the details was far above the competion, if you can call a MacGregor competion. I won't go into the failings of that beast it has been done here before. Can't aford a Cat 250 but it was sure nice to look at!
Hey, Todd. Where do you sail your boat? In Morro Bay? We were in San Luis Obispo to attend the freshman orientation last Friday and Saturday at Cal Poly. Our son will be starting there next September...aerospace engineering. We'll be up there again sometime in the summer and, of course, in September. SLO is a really nice place...wish we had had the insight long ago to move there but teaching jobs are very hard to get there. My boat needs to be launched sometime soon in one of two nearby lakes. Haven't sailed at all since last summer because of work commitments/lack of time, etc. It's parked outside right now. Oh well....soon. <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>
