Were any C-25/250 in the recent Newport to Ensendada race? Did you know the overall PHRF winner on corrected time was a Cal 25????

I'd love to put news about this on the site.

By the way, our boat, C-25 #398 was once in the Newport - Ensenada race finished 12th in the Class C cruising class, and was 4th overall in the C25 national regatta when it was held in Seal Beach a few years back (boat was then named Jo Anne and owned by Steve Murphy).

Well, once a slim racer, she's loaded to the waterline and is a cruiser now.

There's no trailer so Mr. Murphy must have sailed her home.

Here's the story ... http://www.thelog.com/news/newsview.asp?c=56374 ... where they indicate it took them 32 hours to motor back up to Newport (into the wind) with their 6 hp engine (only about 20.5 hours to sail down...to victory).
