I would be curious to know if anyone installed the bearing option for the CDI Roller Furler. I was thinking about doing that but wondered if it really matters. How is it installed? Any info is appreciated on this.

Mike, only thing I can say is that I did the retro few years ago and couldnt be happier. They definately make hauling in easier. As far as instalation, I just followed the easy to understand directions, no big deal. Good luck

Mike, installe the bearing option last year on Orion and it reduced the furling effort AT LEAST by one half and aside from the normal follies (needed a prehensile tail to hold three things at once ) was no unusual problem. Go for it! Ron srsk #2343 Orion 1981 SW FL
