i saw this mentioned on a another post, has anyone here used it. i assume you would have to disconnect it when you eventually turn off the motor and sail right?
I HAVE ONE AND LOVE IT.I DON'T HAVE TO DISCONNECT IT TO RAISE THE MOTOR, IT PICKS UP THE SLACK NICELY THE MOTOR JUST TURNS A LITTLE. FOR SAFETYS SAKE JUST MAKE SURE TO TIE A LANYARD TO THE LINKAGE IT DOESN'T FLOAT.
I have one. It really works nice. It cordinates the motor/rudder. I can give it a full turn to port (tiller to the swim ladder). On starboard I can't get as much steerage. On mine you need to disconnect from rudder when raising motor to sail. I also have a cord tied to it as you don't want to drop it overboard. I've seen several power boats with two motors coupled together with the EZ-Steer.
I think I've seen ads for this. It's a linkage between motor and rudder, right? Have you any experience using this with a Tiller Pilot steering system? My experience with the Tiller Pilot is that it's least effective when motoring slowly; just the time when linking the tiller to the motor would offer the most advantage.
