Had a great day on the boat yesterday. Folsom Lake is almost full, the highest water level I have seen in the last 5 years!

I stopped for lunch in a little cove on New York Creek, an inlet on the South Fork of the American River, one of the two big river arms that extend up from the Lake.

Sailing north in New York Cove in light breezes.

Sorry I cant see the pictures. Ruth and I went for a mothers day sail also. We spent most of the day with company. The kids and friends went into Seattle to see Cats so we snuck out for a sunset sail. I was quite surprised as our rather heavy Alberg did very nice in light air. We were the only boat sailing. Stoped along Ruston Way on the way back for a couple of coffee nudges. What a wonderful day.

Thanks for the photos Larry. I haven't sailed Folsom for 15 years when we would race our Hobie 16 up near the dam every April. I have never been up the lake into the area you show in the photos. Very nice. Glad to see the water so high. We are still 30 feet from full, but the Sierra snow pack looks promising. We are about the same level now as we have been at the high point for the past two years. We still have plenty of water, Don Pedro is over 400 feet deep just off the marina and 95 feet under my keel. Sailed yesterday also. Nice light Mother's Day breeze, good for Mother's and old guys having a birthday.

Ed,
We went for a sail yesterday too, very light wind. brigitte's mom went out with us for a little sail. This was the first time we were able to get her on the boat, I think she enjoyed it. If it was your birthday I wish you much happenes, OK I'll wish it even if it wasn't. My brother was a mother's day baby 50 years ago, now that is a gift and a half.

By right clicking and getting the pic url...and going to that url... I got a message ..."sorry but daily usage has been exceeded". My browser was recognizing the pics were supposed to be there...but then it simply dismissed them after they weren't available.

Some of the hosting sites have quite limited bandwidth restrictions. Will look for the pics in the morning.
