I bought a bunch of these a year ago and finally got around to attempting to install them. The stanchions don't bolt into a flat part of the cabin roof. 2 screws are longer than the other 2 making this plate ineffective on our model of boat. After redrilling, they work great to back the 4 docking cleats though...
Hi Duane, I re-bedded my stanchions last season and just went to a bit larger backing washer. That's about all you can do with the C25. I was re-tightening the lifelines when I realized that I had gone too far and produced a leak in the stanchion by the end of the coach and will have to re-bed again. A warning to those who like the look of taut lifelines, let em droop a little.
