As I continue to <font size=5>NOT</font id=size5> sell my powerboat <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>, I dream of sailing again one fine day.
Wing keels are hard to find. Fin keels are plentiful but in very different stages of condition.
Condition is more important to me than the fin or wing keel setup.
BUT. Have any of you sailed a wing <u>and</u> a fin boat<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>
I would like to hear your opinions of their sailing similarities and differences.
I haven't sailed a wing, only my own fin, but I would have to assume that the fin is stiffer because of the increased ballast and depth of the fin keel.

There's a lot of mass concentrated down at the wing, even though it's on a shorter lever. I'd say the key is how important 14" less draft (2'10" vs. 4') is and whether you plan to trailer the boat. Just on the basis of resalability, the wing may be worth the search.
