I've got a 15hp Johnson Long Shaft outboard. It came with my C25-I can't find a serial number, date, etc. I'm guessing that its around a 1990 outboard. It was originally installed with a remote throttle. I've removed it and would like to use it stand alone, but I need a twist throttle.
Check your local yellow pages for a dealer that carries OMC or Evinrude or Johnson. They might be able to fix or replace what you need. Also a internet search for Johnson outboards might turn up some used part dealers. For instance try these guys:
It sounds like this may be a difficult thing to locate so good luck.
On my Evinrude the model number / serial number is on a small tag that is mounted on the left side of the transom bracket, it isn't on the motor at all. If you don't have one there should be a number somewhere on the motor itself that can help identify it. Again, I would call the local dealer for advice because you are going to need to know exactly what year and model you have to find the correct throttle arm.

Albert, I was able to get parts for my 1978 Evinrude 15hp from Seaway Marine in Seattle. They specialize in older motors of all makes. Their phone number is 206-937-7373.
