Can anyone tell me why the drifter seems to be more popular with members of this site than the genaker? I currently own neither, and would appreciate your advice on which is easier to set, fly and douse. I hope to add one of the two before next season t

I have had my MoonChaser since May 2001, 250WK #385. I want to know why 250 owners are not using Spinnakers??

My understanding has always been, that it is just TOOOO much sail. Of course my 250 is a water ballast, I'm not sure if that rational also holds true for the wing keel. My drifter is like 1st gear....from 0-5+ knots it pulls the boat well, at that point
