Does anyone know where the hull number is located on a catalina 25? I know there is a small plate on the inside of the transom with the serial number but somewhere on the boat should be a 12-15 digit hull number.
<font face='Comic Sans MS'><font size=2>Dave – I think it should be molded or etched into the stern just above the small lazerette on the starboard side. Inside the cockpit not outside.</font id=size2></font id='Comic Sans MS'>
On the early models it is on the upper starboard side cornor of the transom, almost hidden by the aluminum carrier for the rub-rail. It should have the number from the builder's plate plus some prefix numbers that identify the date of manufacture.
Dave, Most of the Catalinas that I have seen have the hull number (HIN) in the location as described by Steve. www.boatsafe.com has a nice explanation of what the numbers and letters mean. Happy Holidays! Doug Pearce
Steve, My boat is an '83 and the hull # is molded in as you describe Val on "CALISTA" #3936 <BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>
