Now that you solved my docking problems, I need help with mounting a paper towel rack. I was thinking of removing the electric panel to see if I could get access to the space below to drill some holes from the screws. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. I also note that Boat US and West sell a teak rack. Has anyone bought that one?
Funny you should ask.....I bought a curtain rod at K-mart (Martha Stewart ) and shortened it, but it will still hold two rolls of paper towels. I gave it a light coat of tinted (walnut) urethane, so it will match the other wood. Let me go take a picture.....
i just bought a wooden paper towel holder. no, it is not teak. i would not pay the price. (though i did pay the price for my teak wine glass holder that hangs over our table) and it IS beautiful. i went to walmart and bought a butcher block "LIKE" wooden paper towel holder for 3.88!!!!! it is a little lighter in color than the teak, but then again the only teak is on the bathroom wall. this towel rack matches the butcher block cutting board that fits over the stove burner, which adds counter space when not in use. i intend to put up the towel holder the same way i put up the teak wine glass holder. with five minute epoxy! my wine glass holder has been up for 2 years and has not come loose. i just didnt want to drill any holes anywhere if i didnt have to.
My paper towel holder is mounted to the inside of the small pantry door under the sink. It is a cheap plastic one. I did not want the paper towels out in the open so inside the door works well.
