I need to replace my main and jib halyard sheaves. Is there a particular place where I can purchase these items? Also would it be better to replace them with metal rather than plastic?
There apparantly has been alot of side load put on the sheaves. The

Jim, Catalina Direct (800 959-7245) lists the sheaves as part # E1316 for $5.80 a piece. Call them to confirm this, they are great with advice and customer service.

I bought new ones from Catalina (~$6/each). I understand that Catalina Direct also sells them. I replaced the over the top wire and rope halyards with all rope and ran them down inside the mast. You might consider that, if you still have the wi

I too switched to all rope halyards and went internal. The total cost, not including the line was in the neighborhood of 30 bucks. A few $$ in sheaves, a few in exit plates, dremel bits, rivets, and halyard stoppers. We also redid our wiring through co
