I have an '87 Johnson 9.9 on my C-25 and it has the cable and cockpit controls. I would like to go back to a tiller on the motor, and do away with the remote shifter/throttle. Anybody have a used one for sale for this year motor, or want to trade for the remote cable system?
Thanks, Skip

Hey Skip,
I bought my boat lasst year with the intention of installing cockpit controls. Since then, I've goten used to the tiller and motor while getting out of the slip. My wife may be interested in this feature. It's a long shot, but we might be able to set up some sort of a trade. A couple of questions: What does your installation look like? Is your motor connected to the rudder? If not, how do you get in and out of your docking slip? Sorry that this is such a weaselly response. I don't mean to raise false hopes or waste your time, but I do have an interest. I'll be out of town until Sunday night...

Skip,
Just got back in town and have seen no e-mail.

Please try these:
bjaworowski@erac.com (office)

bjaworowski@att.net (home)

I have tried the e-mail link in the forum haedings and have not gotten through. I am sure that, in due time, Spike will get everything fixed. Meanwhile, I'd offer to help, but I don't know Web based languages.

Talk to you later...Good luck.

Hello Bill--

Just wanted you to know I traded the cable controls for a tiller today. Sorry we couldn't work something out. I hope we cross paths on one of the lakes sometime. Come up for a sail sometime-- I'd be glad to have you on board. If you cross paths on your lake with a Hunter 28 called "Simpatico", and a big grey haired guy by the name of Jim, tell him I said hello. He used to sail here. I beat him in a race once.

Glad to hear you made a deal. i was too wishy-washy anyway. I'll look for SIMPATICO and tell him hello! If I get up your way I'll give you a shout...you do the sane.
