Does anyone have a source of supply for OMC bracket parts? I like the bracket but the cylinder is weak on mine and I need to find a new one. Thanks.

I believe that my friend that owns "Mels Marine Repair" in Eugene Oregon could probably get one for you. His name is Paul Lemmon and his phone is 541-689-0136

You may know that OMC was purchased by Bombardier in Canada. I believe the American division is Bombardier Johnson/Evinrude.

If all else fails, look for a manufacturer and model number on the cylider itself--it's a certainty that OMC didn't make it.You might be able to order one directly. If you're in salt water, be careful that you're getting one that isn't made of ordinary steel. West and BoatUS have a small selection of replacement cylinders--at least I've seen them in the stores--but probably not the strut you need...
