Frank, Some guy let one go up in Tacoma, WA. last week for $1500.00! I talked to him and it didn't sound too bad, but a survey may have shown different. It sold in a heart beat though.

That looks like "Pitch 'n Woo" at the dry storage area of Colonial Yacht Marina in Wilmington, CA, right next to my marina (in the heart of LA Harbor). I drive by it every time I go to my boat. Going on my seventh year there, I have never seen it move. People tell me it's not been moved a lot longer than that and it's current registration is 1984!
The inside doesn't look too bad. But the outside is so filthy, it's hard to tell if a good dose of elbow grease can bring it back. But the swing keel definitely needs work. There is no cable, as it has completely rusted away and the keel itself has huge voids where rust has eaten in to it. And no trailer.
Looks like a parts boat to me. If the hull and deck are sound it could be some fun for somebody. I wrote Hall spars the other day and they told me that a California company called Lefiell builds the Catalina masts. I went to their site and sure enough all the parts are there. http://www.lefiell.com
