I'm looking at adding a cruising spinnaker to the inventory, but I can't figure out how to attach the tack to the bow with a furling headsail. I envision a block at the bow stem with a line from the spinnaker tack through the block and back to a cockpit c

John...Just happen to have your answer.
Look at the "trailor sailor" website homepage. It's a device called a "Tacker". It's a piece of tough plastic that wraps around your furled jib, about 3 ft up from the base. It has clips to #1 hook a line down

Gclarke - I've seen that little device. It looks interesting, but I'm trying to figure out how to attach the downhaul block to the bow stem. Unfortunately, the photos for the Tacker didn't have enough detail in that area to give me ideas how the block att

john I don't use a downhaul, Only because I probably never use this sail if I'm single handing, so I always have someone to go forward and pull it in. But for a downhaul block, there are various kinds that will fasten to one of your pulpit verticle bars
