Hey Guys,
A boat just a few slips down from me sold and a retired trucker bought it. I noticed he had a really nice Boom Tent that he put on to match the Maroon color. So I asked him where it came from. I ordered one in Blue and I really like it, very heavy duty and completely water proof and it nearly matches my blue color of the Bimini and mainsail cover. You can order in any size and they will custom make it, they will even put the Grommets whever you want them for no extra charge. I bought two, 1 for the boom tent and one that I use to cover the bow when I have my CruiseAir AC in the front hatch to keep cool air flowing and rain out. I just called them on their 1-800 number told the guy over the phone what I wanted and about 4 weeks later I got them...both tarps for less than $100. Here is the link to Toledo Tarps: http://www.toledotarp.com

What measurements did you use for the boom tent? I also would like the measurements you used for the tarp over the bow. Thanks dan

I have one similar to Steve's boom tent.
It is 10' by 10' has 3 grommets on each side and one on each end that is on the boom a total of 8 grommets. I had mine made locally. The guy made the boom tent with bag to store it in and 2 winch covers for $120.00.

Here is a picture

Bryan, you sure have a pretty boat. What is the double spreader rig behind you?

Bryan: Thanks for the photos. Where are the attachment points located on the cover? There is a boat canvas shop nearby and I would like to see what they would charge for a cover such as you have in the photo...will also take the photo with me...thanks, Dan #727

The material is sunbrella all the grommets are reinforced.

If you lay the 10' x10' cover out flat, there is a grommet in each corner.
Then there is a grommet on the edge in the middle of the corner grommets on all sides, a total of 8. If you look close at the pictures you can see the 3 white lines on the starboard side and 1 line going around the mast. The port side is the same as the starboard. The stern end I have a hook that goes around the topping lift.

Dan,
My boom tent is a 8X10 but if I had it to do over again it would be a 8X11 and I would have been more specific where I wanted the grommets, The bow tarp is a 6X9 with a Grommet in the middle of the tarp, (so if you drew an X from corner to corner there is a grommet in the middle of the x). I put a eye bolt in the center grommet and attach the jib halyard to make it "tent like to drain rain water" I use a bungy cord on the bow end and 2" carbiners to connect the tarp to the life lines. I will try to post some pics in about 1 week,
Steve
