In need of a more user friendly table I took the legs off the heavy larger stock table. Added a piece of Starboard (Boat US) with a wood trim edge (home Depot) and cut two holes for cup holders. Does the trick and folds flat for storage in aft berth if need be. I do like Oscars great design, but I kept things simple this time for myself.
Simple, yet elegant. I believe I helped inspire, that's gratifying. Did you use the starboard blocks from the standard table to attach the legs to this one?
Ha Dan what eyes funny I ended up cutting the tag off soon after I took the photo! I just bought that at the Sail Expo, then a few days later saw in West Marines sale flyer 2 for one. I keep telling my self this one is better quality.
Yes Oscar I used the blocks from the old table. They work toward the support of this one. I have my pop top stored on the ceiling of the aft berth with mop clips. I thought your use of the blocks was clever.

The one you have probably IS of better quality than the West Marine seats if yours are actual Sport-A-Seats.
The Sport-A-Seat brand seats have a much more firmer cushion than the West Marine brand. The WM seats, with softer less firmer cushions, will squish so much when sat on that you can almost feel the cockpit seat beneath them.
So don't keep tellling yourself that yours are of better quality...believe it!
Like the table, it looks like a perfect fit for a pop-up to hang on my pedestial guard. The one made for it from Edson is mucho BU's for a plastic table and even more for the teak variety. Yours is perfect. Ain't this forum great.
That table is really nice, but I have a tiller so that presents a problem of how to set it up. I also use mine inside cabin. If anyone has an hour and is not in love with the stock table and wants a cheaper way to go, here is the break down. Piece of Starboard was $32 Wood Trim $2.50 Two cup holders 5.25 each Starboard cuts soooo easy, basic woodworking tools are all that I used, along with the stock tables legs.
Oscar, Are you treating me with Respect and Dignity? Inside joke!! Can I be refered to a treatment facility in my area or will I need to travel at my own expense?
Hmmm...it seems that under the new LOA regarding fitness for duty that I just read about, cupholders would NOT be covered. I'm sorry, you're on your own.
