Hello Forum. While I am not a Catalina owner, I have found much usefull information from lurking on this forum. A while back, there was an interesting post about converting a princess alchol stove to propane. The information was very helpful and I completed the conversion--almost. I cannot find a way to connect the 3/8" hose with screw type fittings to the 1lb throw away propane bottle. I am so close to being able to cook on board and this is very frustrating. Any help with this from anyone who has done the conversion would be most helpful. Many thanks, Kevin
Seriously consider chucking that idea and get yourself a 2-burner Origo 3000 alcohol stove. Alcohol stoves have a bad rap in the literature because early on the manufacturers tried to pressurize them (bad idea!). The early C25's had pressurized Hillerange stoves which did scary things that tempted people to do what you are doing. The unpressurized Origo is very safe and definitely gives a hot enough flame, no matter what you generalizations you will read in all of the snooty cruiser books. Origo also makes a cabin heater that uses the same fuel as the stove if you want to stay with one fuel.

After fiddling with my princess for two seasons replacing this and that and never getting both burners fully functional, I finally ditech it two seasons ago. Goodbye Princess, hello Origo 3000. It is amazing! Safe, easy to use, economical, cooks well, and is... safe.
This past summer a Cataline 30 burned to the waterline due to an overflow from its Princess which caught fire. 'Nuf said.
