I wanted to thank everyone who responed to my questions as well as other's questions on the forum. Moonglade is finally back in the water, much improved and I am thrilled.

So many of you helped me tackle my projects with confidence and knowledge. This forum has saved me time, money, worry and aggravation. Thanks again.

With everyone's help, I have recently:

Converted swing to wing keel
Repaired minor blisters
Applied a complete barrier coat
New bottom paint
Refit my roller bunk trailer to the new keel
Replaced all standing rigging
Sealed all windows
Installed new bow fitting with anchor roller
Replaced Catalina 25 Logos
New lettering

I have also inspected, cleaned, and evaluated numerous other areas and aspects of my boat.

Moonglade looks, feels and sails almost like new and she is a 1980 model!!!

Thanks again, and I hope you all enjoy your boats and sailing as much as we will in our "new" Moonglade.

Awesome. Take care of her and she will last you a lifetime!
(Sounds like good advice for a spouse too.)

WOTAM will hopefully get her wing keel conversion next Winter...
I want one before I go to the Sea of Cortez.

Chris I'm glad everything worked out for you and wish you many years of enjoying your labors. I would also like to thank you that while you were doing all this you took time to help me with information on my new to me 25, and how to get help. You also took time to post my pictures on the forum. Thanks again and good sailing.

Denny

Some people have asked about reasons for joining the National Association, and now we have Chris's testimonial. Ya' the forum is available to all, but our membership dues provide the website and the forums. If you haven't joined the C25/250 National Association, I urge you to do so! And, if you are in an area with a fleet, join your local fleet, and if not you might want to get together with a few others and organize one.

One question, Chris. Have sailed enough to get a sense on how the wing sails compared to the swing?

Don,
Unfortunately no. Between work schedule and weather have only been out once. Hope things will settle down in January and we usually have stiff breezes for a good trial. Will let you know.
