The low tides on the Chesapeake, the wind and a loose stern line combined to push "Margareta" underneath the finger pier. The result was one bent stanchion, and the stern rail bent and pushed through the deck on the port side (into the gear locker).
The port end of the stern rail went down through the fiberglass and either through the wood underneath or it took the wood down with it.
I am getting an estimate an have reported it to the insurance company (Boat US).
Does anyone have any information as to the availability of the stern rail and how hard it is to reinstall on the transom? How about the availability of stanchions? One problem that is already apparent is the ability to get the fiberglass work accomplished. Talking to the people giving me the estimate, the indicated thanks to "Isabella" they have a whole boat yard full of boats awaiting fiberglass repairs.
I bought an identical, replacement stanchion last year from my local Catalina dealer, so I can say they were still available at that time. I don't know about the stern rail.
Now I am paranoid and want to go check and once again retie my docklines for the millioneth time. I noticed that a few weeks ago that the Bay was ridiculously low and my boat was almost hanging by the stern lines. Sorry about your boat, best of luck getting it fixed.

Yikes! Lee...sorry to hear of your troubles.
A fellow C25 owner at my marina purchased a stern pulpit last year(I believe from CD), but he's yet to install it.

My lines are tied to allow a minimum of 3 ft of up and down movement to prevent my boat from being suspended from the dock. Don't ask how I found this out!
