How about a way to get water out of the starboard side of a SK bilge?
My 1979 has access holes on the port side of the keel, and there is an electric bilge pump for that side. OK.
Starboard side there are NO access holes. The prev. owner rigged some pvc pipe down the starboard side, but it is pumped only by the cockpit hand pump. I want to add electric somehow but can't get down and into where I need to.

I routed the hose to the manual bilge pump through there on the stbd side to the low point, and added a strumbox to draw down to the last 3/8" or so of bilge water.
I also crammed a small automatic electric bilge pump in under there as far forward as it would go (which was only about arm's length).
I happen to have an access openning in the cabin sole above the stbd swing keel bearing, but that's not absolutely required to do what's described above.
I live in Washington! Of course I get water in the bilge!
Actually, I think condensation and use of the alcohol stove create some moisture..
Double Roof,
My solution was to enlarge the inspection port on the port side, and drill out a 3" or 4"? hole and install a Beckson inspection plate on the starboard side. Now, I insert a dinghy type bailer and get out what I can and then sponge the rest.
My manual bilge pump with Y valve to both sides simply leaves more water than I like down there. This works for me.
