Hi All,

I'm considering having a jib bag this upcoming season, so I can leave the jib hanked on but protected in the bag while at the dock. It seems like it would be a simple thing to make (for my sister-in-law with a sewing machine), and would be a lot cheaper than buying one. Does anyone have plans that I can use in the making of the jib bag? I anticipate using it mostly for my 150 sail.

Thanks!

Thanks Frank. You're the man! I would really appreciate that. Maybe we could put the plans and instructions for a jib bag in the Tech Tips section.

http://homepage.mac.com/fhopper/PhotoAlbum40.html

Picture 0382 shows a 24” zipper with a 3” opening at each end.
Picture 0386 shows a 21” short seam to the right and a 30” long seam running the length of the mesh panel.
Picture 0384 shows the 30” x 5.5” mesh panel.
Picture 0383 shows the circular end panel that is 18” in diameter
So the trapezoidal sides are 24” at the bottom, 27” at the zipper (top), 21” on the short side and 30” on the long side
