Hey Nate, Cool pix. Where are the trees? What kind of camera is it. My wife got me a kodak cx6330 works great, haven't been on the boat yet to take photos but we are thinking of a San Francisco trip for next month.
That's a great idea! Can your daughter get up to planing speed with that motor strapped to the back of her PFD?
Sincerely, you can't beat a sunny day on the boat with the kids, can you! Even if there isn't much wind! Congrats on being blessed with kids AND a boat!
Thanks a ton guys....I'm really lucky that my kids love the boat. If I'm going to the boat and not taking my 2 year old, I have to tell her I'm going to a "meeting". Matt, the camera is a Canon A70....I read a bunch of reviews on www.dpreview.com and found the A70 to be highly recommended. This is our first digital camera and the thing seems easy enough to use and the pics are great. Bren, Sydney can't quite plane with the Nissan but it sure makes it nice when I send her back to the marina for more beer. No more waiting around all day for her to swim back out to the boat. And yes I know the little one should be in a PFD...he usually is but he was down below with Mom when I decided to snap a couple pics.
Loren, I understand, we moved to Vegas from Ohio (Dayton) and don't miss the winters. I guess we'll have to dig out our cold weather stuff since we are moving to Maryland in May....gotta love the military lifestyle!
Nantucket ferry stuck in ice for 4 hours in Nantucket Sound last Saturday. Lots of pack ice in open water, harbors frozen over, too many pressure ridges for ice boating.
When our youngest was the age of yours, he's 3 1/2 now, we had troubles with the PDF. When he had it on he turned into a little ball and would roll around not having much fun.

You'll find some 25/250 Association members out here on the Chesapeake. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">
Another one here. Bubba, I'm now a more southern Chesapeake Sailor. I signed the papers for a slip at Herrington Harbour South this morning. I hadn't been finding anything else, with the exception of some Annapolis slips for the bargain price of just a hair under $4K, so I'm now looking forward to not having to deal with the Herring Bay Channel (at least that's how I'm justifying the jump in price.) HH North hasn't exactly been going out of their way to find me a slip since the one I'm currently paying for is no longer....
Dave/Kirk We will be relocating in May...my wife will be doing her Masters degree at USUHS in Bethesda. I look forward to finding an active fleet out there since we have a handful of C25s here on Lake Mead but no organized fleet. We will be making a fact finding trip out that way in April to hopefully find a place to live...we plan to rent a house since we will only be there two years. Looking at the map, I think we have decided the area north/northeast of Bethesda would be good for both of us. We have heard the nightmare stories about traffic and Lori wants to be reasonably close to the school yet not too far from the Chesapeake. I will be staying home with the kids and probably only working a couple days a week, so I can find a nursing gig close to home once we settle down. Obviously we need some help finding a watery home for our boat too. We will be eligible for a slip at marinas operated by the military if that helps? Any advice on marinas in the area would be great. We can't afford Annapolis but would like something on the Chesapeake vs. the Potomac. Unless you guys can give me reasons for looking at the Potomac more closely. As always, thanks in advance for the help.
The only active fleet I'm aware of in the north part of the Bay is Baltimore # 8. But it sounds like perhaps there is interest in another local fleet? If so go for it!
My wife also got a digital camara this Christmas, actually for my birthday! She got me a new one - I didn't even know I wanted a new one, so she could have the old one. Pretty sneaky
