I was wondering how many of you are also Amateur Radio Operators and enjoy both hobies on your boat, were did you mount your equipment and what equipment did you install, what modes do you operate? How did you install the antennas, dipole? Vertical? Screwdriver Mobile?
Hi, not yet a ham but in preparation for same, and wanting to be rid of the single off set backstay, I added the antenna as the other backstay. I now have two full length backstays one of which has the insulators spaced to form the antenna.
Here is a very good site to find out about Ham radio and just about anything else you want. Scroll down and sellect Mobile Maritime Ham forum or search the site for tons of advise, projects, stories or photos. http://cruisenews.net/
