Ok, I have decided to spent the money for an Auto Pilot for my C-25. The feedback I got from my original question about Auto pilots for this size boat was all positive.
I think I will be buying the Simrad TP20, Sailnet has it for $400.00 with a remote.

There is no way of giving you a definitive answer. My Autohelm ST1000 works harder when the wind is up then when it is down. However, if you what to make an estimate, try this. See what the amp rating of your battery is. Let's just say 60 amps for ins

I have used an Auto Helm ST 2000 for over 8 yrs, 6 days a week, all day long on the Maine coast. I constantly sleep aboard all summer, so night time lights are always used. I sail in fog, meaning running lights are used. The VHF is always on, (required).
