I am considering a boat with this configuration. Since you sleep with your head near the engine compartment, diesel smell in the cabin is a concern. Does anyone (perhaps Dkn420) have any comments. By the way Dnk420, this is the same boat you sailed on at Tahoe last summer.
Jim: Are you buying the boat from Sailing Ventures at Lake Tahoe or from the owner? If it is at Tahoe I would imagine it is the same boat I sailed on last summer. It is a nice boat and well equipped. The first time I saw the boat it had been sitting for a while and had a diesel smell when it was opened up. After the air had circulated a little there was no diesel smell. I don't know what the price is, but you may want to compare it with the price for a new boat. Also, the boat I sailed on did not have a trailer, but the owner did have a slip that you might be able to get...I believe his first name is Rich...
If you want to email me privately I do have some comments if Sailing Ventures is handling the sale.
