How about a solid door between main salon and head? It increases privacy and livability. BIG project, bigger than you might think at first! The mast compression post is not square with the stbd bulkhead. The overhead is curved, as well as the sole. I took
I've been contemplating making those doors too. (Presently I have curtains made from nautical theme beach towels, hemmed along the top, sliding on taught lines.) I'd really like to see photos and hear of any other problems or solutions
Leon, The door need to be tri-fold, due to space limitations inside the head. The 3 sections stack flat, in the open, or stacked, position. I used 3/8" plywood for weight savings, I think. 1/2" would do fine, but would not add anything except weight,
check out Compass Rose on Tech tips. the bifold doors are hanging and explained some. I am in the middle of this project and made the doors 10" from the floor and 1/2" off the roof. I did have to cut a taper on the starboard side and top. Bifold works
