Attention newbies.....When Senior MMC Arlyn pointed this out when I was green, I thought "thanks Arlyn", saves me having to screw that up......untill yesterday when I was playing "Oscar's switch yard" and moved the trailer(s) around, got side tracked, and woke up in the middle of the night listening to the pouring rain on the bathroom sky light and went...oh fk.....so for your benefit, here it goes....
I bet Gary had a smile on his face when he drew this...If you park the 250 on a trailer, you have to make sure you put the pitch just right.....'caus....too much nose down, and the gutter around the main hatch fills up and then before it runs into the cockpit it overflows into the cabin.......conversely, if you pitch up too much the same happens with the forward hatch. So, open it all up, and adjust the trailer pitch so that both hatches drain well, (use a cup of water to test)......and then don't forget to always park the thing properly......
If you have to know, I was too much nose up, so the thing is all opened up cross ventilating and the cushions are sun bathing....Unfortunately my 120 million dollar Maptech Florida East Coast chart kit (the only one I own that is not water proof!!) was parked under these cushions . It is now drying with another 120 million dollars worth of paper towels between the pages...I had nothing else to do today anyway....
