When things get hot on Utah Lake and the Great Salt Lake, bugs can get so bad you wouldn't want to open your mouth. So we go below deck and close things up. I am looking real hard at the Lewmar opening ( and screened) port holes sold by Catalina Direct. A

Been there, done that, great product, minimal enlarging of existing opening (hull #2428, 1981.) Use nippers to cut the depth of interior trim piece. Buy a bloody metric allen wrench to adjust the tension of the hinges so the portlight will remain open!
