It is finally time to get ready to place all the new toys on the boat. Two question are in need of answering from the experts out there.

1. Can someone supply the correct extention length for the whisker pole when running down wind with an 155 head sa

Not sure there is a "right" measurement for attaching the boom vang.
The bottom portion of your vang is probably mounted in a slightly different place on the mast as well. I positioned my to achieve a 45 degree angle.

Steve is quite correct - the optimum vang angle IS 45 degrees. As for the whisker pole, mine (when set for the 155) is 16' 8" (I'm legal in PHRF but it will be shortened for the Nationals.<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>
