I've used a product with the rather poetic name of "Cap'n Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure" in the past. Desite the name, (I avoid too-salty sounding names) it seems to work.
Next time around for boat repairs (soon) I may thin some West System epoxy way down and try and let it creep into the cracks.
I agree re: salty names. "Don't buy a product from Capt'n Tolly" goes right up there with "don't eat at a place called "Mom's" and "don't play cards with a guy named "Doc".
Spider cracks = Gel coat only, not stuctural in nature. Caused due to the fact that Gel coat is harder and a more pure form of resin than its inderlying laminates. Cosmatic in naure these cracks are best repaired by gouging them out with an old can openers point. Fill and fair with a good marine epoxy and then re coat with Gel coat or paint.
