Beautiful picture, Frank! Did you take that last night while that 6-twister thunderstorm was heading your direction?

Yep, it passed just north of the lake. We had one system coming from the southwest and another coming from the northwest. The picture is after they converged and moved east. We got our race in.

Yes Sir!
It is for storing the main, it keeps things neat under the mainsail cover, (which also gets sail ties around it). When dropping the main on the water I just grab a couple of them, at the dock I redo it for the night. I added the new shock cord to replace the worn out cord that had originally been there. These products are called spiders and mine was from Davis. One of the hooks broke last night, they have a lot of sun damage, I will look for replacements.

Actually no, I use Photoshop 7.0 on a Mac to crop and resize all of my photos an occasionally do some "correction" but there is no correction on this picture. It is posterized a little but I think it was my Canon S50 trying to deal with the sun or just the loosey effect on a compressed jpeg. I compress to 8 rather than a full 12. Here is another from the series.

Absolutely beautiful. I recently purchased a Nikon Coolpix 8700, 8 megapixel digital camera. My first foray into the medium of digital photography and I am very impressed with it's performance. I love Photoshop 7 almost as much as sailing. I look forward to future posts of your photography. Happy sailing. Steve and Connie on Wazapan 3096.
