my C25 has some spots on the port side the PO said was a wrinkel in the hull. as i have sanded them out I need to refill the voids with epoxy. but the stuff just runs out. there is some trailer(?)damage on the very bow that needs this same kind of repair. any thoughts?
I'd suggest Marine Tek. It's a thick, like putty, 2 part epoxy. Make sure you buy the white. It dries as hard as stone, and can be sanded, filed, painted. Its waterproof. Also expensive, but worth it.
If your voids are large, fill them with fiberglass/epoxy marine filler first, then cover with Marine Tek. The filler is much cheaper.
You won't be able to fill any void with just plain epoxy. You need to add fillers for that kind of work. Read the West System web site for the right filler(density) for your job.
Remember that most epoxies are not intended for prolonged exposure to sunlight. I've used thickened WEST epoxy to repair hull damage, and even to build a dinghy. In the case of fiberglass hull repairs, I covered the finished epoxy with gelcoat. The dinghy I painted.
