Yes, its nearly time to go. Indiscipline will press on even though most everyone else has dropped out.

Leaving the marina Saturday afternoon, anchoring out, and sailing north at dawn on Sunday. I'm headed out there. Its my dream. I realize it may not be the dream of anyone else. We all face eternity alone in any case.

Headed NW with a W wind at 10 knots, and South 2 - 3 foot swell at 14 seconds. Air temp in the 80s. Sea temp 72. Fish are biting all up the line. Provisioned for 3 weeks. Boat is in tip top shape, spares on board. I've sailed 138 days since Jan. 1 2004, done 5 overnighters, and sailed over 1000 miles. I'm ready, Indiscipline is ready.

See you all soon!

You're a lucky man, Jim, and I'm envious of your opportunity! We'll expect a detailed account of your adventures, with pictures, upon your safe return.

Fair winds,

Yes, single handing most of the way. Heidi is riding with me the first day or 2. The family is joining me for week 2. The rest of the time ... the horizon is my limit.

This is my last post, I'm leaving the office right now, going to buy ice!!!!

PW -- Try this link for Jim's intinerary.

I plan to meet him at Cat Harbor on Thursday for the trip to Santa Barbara Island, and then possibly a week later for some stops on the backside of Catalina.
