Does anyone know the correct way to use the Canvas Twist Fasteners? I was thinking make small slits with an exacto knife and insert the sharp tabs, and bend over after inserting the backing plate. But before I attempt this I figure I would ask.
Thanks

Go to www.sailrite.com and see if they have any info regarding the fastners. They have just about everything you could imagine for working with canvas.
Spent yesterday watching Jean my canvas maven punch holes in my new dodger with a device similar to that which is used to place grommets in canvas but significantly different to allow for placement of the twisties you mention. The Sailnet picture, though not clear, looks like what Jean was using. If you can buy one I'd go for it rather than chance a slip of the knife. Just one more piece of "STUFF" to store in your tool locker.
Love that George Carlin routine re STUFF. Every time I look in the storage places around here I laugh at his comedic reference to shrinking space.
