From what I know of the MacGregor 24 it only displaces about half of what a C-25 does and the C-25 has a deeper keel, even assuming a retracted swing keel. The MacGregor will ride on a single axle trailer and the Catalina requires a tandem axle trailer. I may be wrong about all this but I don't think there is any way to put a C-25 on a Venture trailer without a complete rebuild of the trailer. Better to start from scratch.

Tom- CAN'T BE DONE. Absolutely NOT! The MacGegor/Venture trailer is barely strong enough for a GVWR of 3500#. Put a Catalina 25 on there, and you have a GVW (Gross Vehicle weight) of 6500# at least. EVERYTHING on a Mac trailer would be inadequate - the axles, wheel bearings, brakes, and tires would be too small, the coupler would be seriously under-rated, and the hull support bunks would be the wrong shape and too small. The winch stand is probably too short to even reach the bow eye on a Catalina 25. You could not even upgrade a Mac trailer by adding an extra axle, as the "heart" of the trailer - the primary frame and cross-members - are only 4" channel iron, where 6" channel iron side rails with 5" cross members is what a Catalina 25 trailer frame should be made of.
