I don't know if these trailers are still available and I apologize for not seeing the ads sooner. I am just not getting caught up on all the magazines recieved during our vacation. The prices sure seem reasonable.http://www.latitude38.com/classy/Clas200408/clastral.htm

The first one has electric brakes. Electric brakes? For a boat trailer?

Yes electric brakes have grown up. They are better in every way than surges and last longer in all environments. The only reason you are not aware of this is there is a ludite conspiracy to keep people ignorant. As the technical editor I have interviewed several trailer manufacturers and the only ones who do not prefer electrics are the ones who own stock in the surge coupler companies.

I refitted my trailer with electric brakes this past year. I used marine wire with waterproof heat shrink connectors throughout. Should last a while. The brakes are all galvanized except the drum and the electromagnet. Champion was not keen on my installation on a boat trailer. Time will tell. It is nice to be able to activate the brakes independent of the truck when the trailer gets whipped about, or to be able to test the brakes at will.
