Our boat is a 25' 1983 with the fold-away table in the cabin. The v-berth is too small for us (my husband is 6'3") and we'd like to build a platform (incorporating the table top)so we could sleep in the cabin. Has anyone designed and built this? I found posts for the dinette model, but nothing else. Thanks! Suzanne

That made room for another panel to sit behind the stowed table. The three panels together make a double bed platform. I leave the cushions down and lay the short panel over the keel trunk. It works very well for my wife and I, we weigh close to 300 each. The plywood I bought was a nice 3/4" A-birch B-maple from home depot. I bought an entire sheet for under $40 and made a new bulkhead between the quarter berth and the sail locker for a window airconditioner with some of the extra. Stumble around my pages for other things I have done.
