In our attempts to get rid of diesel smell from the cabin, I noticed that the access panels on the quarter-berth side have holes in them and the ones on the lazarette side do not. This seems back-asswards to me from the smell perspective: you want to vent to the outside (lazarette) and seal to the inside. I wonder if the last maintenance they put the panels on the wrong side.
Also, our electrical panel is mounted on the forwar q-berth access panel, with the back of the panel and all wires in the engine compartment. Was that a common set-up? I am moving the panel but I wanted to know. (of course this kills tha bove question as the electrical panel is mounted in one of the access panels with a hole in it )
