How do I know what my Capri would weigh so as to determine what to tow it with? I know it's displacement weight is about 2800 pounds, but that seems low for trailering. I've hunted high and low and wasn't able to find this detail.

Displacement generally does not include outboard, batteries, sails, tanks and their contents, cushions, anchors & rodes, lines, tool boxes, beer coolers, fire extinguishers,... ("Sailing displacement" includes the sails but not much more.) And then, for towing capacity purposes, there's the weight of the trailer. It might add up to over to 5000 lbs, but you can do the math.

You need to add another 1500-2000 lbs for the trailer and miscellaneous gear.
