Hi Folks,
I just got off the phone with the Garelick service department.
I own the model 71091 motor bracket, which is the heaviest duty bracket I could find, with strong springs to lift the heavy Hondas.
In a previous thread it was discussed that the twist lock knobs will seize up, as the bolt is stainless, and the knobs are Aluminum. They have addressed the problem, and are sending me, free of charge a new bolt, and new plastic knobs. I don't like plastic, but It's better than having the current seized knob. I didn't put anti seize compound on the bolts like I should have. Stupid me.
I do plan on adding an extra notch in the lock bar to let me lower the motor more. I'll do that when the new bolt arrives.
The customer service rep didn't recomment that of course, and I explained that I understand they they couldn't because of liability issues (they are smart enough to be very afraid of scumbag lawyers)
