Which of the three Interior options does the boat have? 1. Traditional 2. "Fore-and-aft" Dinette 3. "L-Shaped" Dinette
Is this boat pop-top or non-pop-top? Is there a sink in the head on the starboard side, or a second hanging locker there instead of the sink? Are the spreader sockets cast aluminum or stainless steel? Is the outboard mounted Port or Starboard side of the transom?
Looking down into the bilge, can you see if the keel bolts are Stainless steel or Carbon steel? If they are painted over, test with a magnet, the stainless bolts are non-magnetic. (this indicates if the keel is lead or cast iron; the lead keels have stainless keel bolts, iron keels have carbon steel keel bolts).
I am looking at a Cat 25 haul number 4430 with a fixed keel. It had been in Galveston Bay, Texas. I is now in a fresh water lake outside Houston. It has been there about 10 years. The Keel boalts are badly corroded. The owners have made me a very attractive offer but I need some help on how to repair to assure I do not loose the keel. It has the traditional interior, poptop, sink on starboard side, starboard transom motor mount, and I assume aluminum spreader sockets. If you e-mail me at greg@jkbuilder.com or gnkk@sbcglobal.net I can forward some pictures. I am not able to attach them to this communication. Unfortuately I did not have a magnet but from the looks of the bolts they are not stainless but carbon steel.

Since this section is used for posting items for sale, I'm afraid it's unlikely that anyone will see your post here. So ... I took the liberty of moving your question to our Catalina 25 specific forum where you'll likely get some good advice ... here is a link to the new topic: Rusted keel bolts
BTW, if you would like for me to post your photos in that new thread, email them to me at buzzmaring at AOL.com (substitute @ for the "at", no spaces).
