In the dead of a midwest winter, my wife and I just bought a C25! Can't wait to get her properly fitted and splashed. We traded up from a lovely C22. I'm planning on adding a 25 half-hull model to the 22 hanging in my office. As mentioned, I'm feeling nostalgic for the old Capri 14.2 from my barely post college days. Anyone know where I could find a 14.2 half-hull model? I'd appreciate any help.
Greg and Pam, do a search for models, there was a thread on this subject just a short time ago. I'd do it for you, but the 8 year old is at my heels wanting to get back to his pokemon sites.
Congratulations on getting a great boat and for finding this great forum. Sorry but I don't have anything to add in terms of the half-hull model. You'll find the folks on this forum are friendly and helpful. Heaven knows they've saved my bacon countless times.
Let us know what kind of C25...Tall Rig, Standard Rig, Swing Keel, Fin or wing? etc...
Good Morning fhopper It is 6:20 am here in California, I'm monitoring a comming in storm on radar. Saw your comment on the cari and the saw. I'm still laughing............ paulj
Greg & Pam, Trident Studios advertises in "Sail" magazine as a supplier of half models. You might give them a try. http://www.tridentstudio.com (401)846-9505 Welcome Aboard! Joe
Thanks for the welcome and the leads. Unfortunately, I'm not finding one yet. Guess the problem is that a 14.2 model would cost damn near as much the boat! still would be fun to have. Ben, its a tall rig with a swing keel. An '81 but other than the expected deferred maintenance, she's been loved. Although I'm pleased that she's got a roller furler, I not so sure that Pam's happy to be out of a job! Bless her little punkin' head, she loved hanging out on the foredeck. Wish us luck.
